Asher’s Actions

This week started at the Smith home, i.e., my other caretaker. I was with them for the following week. It was fun; I was able to meet many of the office staff at Smith Associates.

Besides being at the office, I made two visits during the week. First, there was a visit to National Lewis University in one of the nearby suburbs. The school was having a special student gathering and asked to have comfort dogs join them. Comfort dog Emma and I were stationed near the door to the activity room. Students were coming and going, but most of them stopped to pet us. They all seemed very happy about our visit.

Then later in the week, I visited Bethel Lutheran during Sunday worship and their social hour. Many people were happy to see me again. One of my favorite handlers was a member at Bethel and brought me to church on many occasions. I will soon have another handler from the Bethel congregation; we are making plans to visit them on a monthly basis.

It’s a great feeling to be welcomed by so many people.

Be in touch. Peace!
