Communion Opportunities at Faith

Every weekend we will be offering drive-in communion following worship. Bring your mobile device and join us live on Facebook in the parking lot, or join us for in-person worship inside the sanctuary.

If you are not able to watch Facebook live from your car, we encourage you to still come for communion at the end of service and watch another service from your home. If you arrive 45 minutes after the start of service, you should arrive in plenty of time to receive communion.

To know who will be communing with us, we are asking everyone who wishes to partake in Holy Communion to sign up by clicking here. Please only sign up for one slot per car.

What’s new?

  • Communion will be distributed in a drive-up fashion as part of worship immediately following the live broadcast.
  • Pastor Jim will stand near the mailbox. Participants will pull up to receive the elements, which Pastor Jim will pass through the passenger window.

Driving Procedures

We will not be directing traffic this week, so here are a few pointers to help you navigate safely:

  • Follow the green arrows on the map below as you enter the lot.
  • Park in lots A, B, or C first. Also, please pull through if possible so all cars are facing south (see white arrows). We want to eliminate the need for people to back up when pulling out.
  • If you feel you will need to open your windows at any time during the service, we ask that you leave a parking space between cars to maintain social distancing.
  • When Pastor Jim is ready, we ask you to pull up to the yellow star to receive the elements, starting with the cars in lot A, then lot B, and then lot C. Please let the car to your left go first (or to your right if you have parked in lot C).
  • To prevent a backup in the lot, we kindly request that you make a right turn only onto Deerpath.

Safety Precautions

  • Pastor will wear a mask and gloves; we ask you to kindly wear a mask as well for distribution.
  • We are offering pre-packaged communion sets in an all-in-one container. Please keep the container to dispose of at your home.
  • If you feel that you may be sick, we ask that you choose to participate in communion at another time. We will be offering drive-in services weekly.

At-Home Communion Option

If you are unable to leave your home or feel uncomfortable participating in the drive-in communion option, Pastor will still be offering communion to you at your home. To ensure as many people who wish to receive communion are able, please only sign up for one slot each month. Sign up for at-home communion.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call the church office at (847) 234-1868 or contact Pastor Jim directly.
