“Behold, what I have seen to be good and fitting is to eat and drink and find enjoyment in all the toil with which one toils under the sun the few days of his life that God has given him…. Everyone also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them…this is the gift of God” (Ecclesiastes 5:18-20).
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Faith Lutheran Church will be starting her golf league on Wednesday, June 10. We will have tee times reserved for us every week at Deerpath Golf Course (our neighbors on the other side of Route 41). Anyone in our church group can play, regardless of the town in which you reside, because this league is through our church. Our league is open to individuals who are married or single, excellent or novice, male or female. If you are going to lie about your golf score, you might as well do it with church members. Which brings me to my next point: I expect to see every one of our golfers at Confession and Absolution because I know you will want to ‘fess up.
I have asked Dick Hocking to be our point of contact for this ministry.
It is so exciting to be getting together at church again. We praise God! God has blessed us and grown us during this time. Our ministry has so many new capabilities that she did not have before. We are now leveraging social media at levels that honestly many would have doubted possible. For example: on a typical weekend, our worship services will receive over 1,000 views. We have individual worship/devotional videos that have over 1,000 views. Our online giving has picked up tremendously, and we are receiving gifts from non-members. Your faithful support has enabled the Gospel to go even farther into the world! When you get a chance, check out our YouTube channel. We have lots of great new resources!
V/r,
Pastor Jim
