Asher’s Actions: Daily Herald Cruise Night

Last Wednesday evening Asher was excited about a new opportunity and venue that promised to be fun. The city of Bloomingdale, located in the western suburbs, is home to many antique, classic, and hot rod car enthusiasts. They normally have a monthly public display, but this year they cancelled all of the shows except this one. The show was hosted by the Daily Herald, and attendance was very good. It was a wonderful event that included a raffle containing several baskets of goodies from the stores in the local shopping center. Proceeds from the ticket sales were given to Lutheran Church Charities and the comfort dog program. Seven of us were present, and they had us each come up to have our picture taken. Each of us looked really sharp.

In addition to the 150+ cool cars,  there were lots of families with small children. We got to meet one another, and I had a wonderful night of petting and making good friends. We were already told we were invited back for next year. I can’t wait.

Be in touch. Peace!

P.S. Some of the cars were REALLY LOUD!
