As we all know, the pandemic has continued to reduce everyone’s ability to go out and visit friends and family. This has affected the comfort dog mission as well. I have been only able to make two visits during January.
I continued to visit a senior couple in Libertyville. We have visited these folks on a number of occasions. The husband is very happy to see and pet me. He is even able to speak a few words to me. During our visits, we have been able to take walks around the neighborhood. Some of the neighbors came out to talk to us. My handlers distributed some of my business cards. This might promote some other visits. The Lord only knows.

I was able to do something knew with Faith’s Youth Director. I will join him for virtual Sunday School on some Sunday mornings. We hope kids and families will be happy to see me and maybe promote more kids coming to Sunday School.
All the Top Dogs in the mission recently had a Zoom meeting to discuss ideas about ways to carry out the mission during the pandemic. A number of ideas were identified, which my team will be using. One action is most certain which concerns training activities for me and the handlers. We’ll be working together more regularly to make sure we maintain the quality for the mission
We thank the Lord for providing all these opportunities to reach out to people with the Good News about Jesus.
Be in touch, Peace!
