God Is Answering Prayers in North Chicago

By Gerardo and Delin Hernandez

Every Tuesday at 3:30 PM, we gather with the North Chicago prayer walking team and go to new houses to pray for the needs of local families. We have seen how God has answered each prayer.

On one of our visits, we met a woman named Natalie. She asked for prayers for her parents, who were in Ukraine. God answered our prayers, bringing her parents to the United States. We also met Irene, who asked for prayers for a very delicate operation on her brain. Her surgery took place in the month of September. Thank God everything went well. Both women are grateful to God and to the church that has had them in her prayers.

The Hispanic Women’s Ministry continues to take place every second Saturday of the month at 6:30 PM. We are spending time studying the Bible and also praying for every need. At the end of each service, we take time with the brothers and sisters to share a delicious dinner.

We thank God for answering our prayers and also for the team of brothers and sisters who help us. One activity that is being planned for the community of North Chicago is “Celebrando la Navidad,” or “Celebrating Christmas.” Families will be invited to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas with dinner, games, gifts, and a devotion. The celebration will be on Saturday, December 10 at 6:30 PM. We will soon be sharing how you can help these families by providing gifts through our Angel Tree program.

God is doing great things at Faith. Amen.
