The fourth FOF Golf Outing is scheduled for September 21, 2024. This is now only one month away. Substantial work continues to be underway to obtain financial support for the outing and plan the detailed activities during the outing. The Outing’s schedule will begin the golf round at 8 AM. This anticipates golf finishing on or before the noon hour. Golfers will need to get to the course within the hour beforehand to get their golf carts, get their team organized, and have some coffee and breakfast food. It is expected that the golf round will be finished by the noon hour. Then the Luncheon will be held in the Field House with the hope that more players and others will join in this social activity. An entertainment program is planned for the lunch time. This entertainment will be by magician Tom Boz.
A special public relations program has been developed via Charlotte, a new staff member. She is using Facebook to get the word out about the outing and the many people and donors/sponsors involved. Many donations, sponsorships, player registrations are now underway. Many organizations, who supported FOF, are continuing their support. Followup contacts are now on-going to obtain needed commitments. Thrivent Insurance has just provided a $250 gift card to use for outing expenses. Other local organizations are donating in the range of $500 to $3000.. These are just an example of the substantial support provided by the community.
