North Chicago Outreach Update

by Gerardo & Delin Hernandez

One year ends and another year begins

Philippians 4:1,4 – “Therefore my brothers, beloved and desired, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord, beloved…Rejoice in the Lord always. And again, I say, rejoice.”

A year has passed, and we have seen the great things that God has done in the Hispanic ministry. We have shared the Word of God, which is the Gospel, life, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is such a great joy that it gives us the power to carry the Word of God and to see the result of the Holy Spirit working and giving growth to the Hispanic church. We rejoice in sharing in the Bible studies in the homes of each family that God is opening the doors since each week they wait with joy for the Word. Also being able to see and pray for those who are homeless, people who stay on the streets or in the gutter of the community and being able to share with new families who face different situations in life. God has truly led us to be able to see the needs and see that there is much work to do. A year has really ended, but also a year has begun, where God shows us that there is a long way to go and to take His Word to those who need it. God is doing great things in the ministry of the Lutheran Church and that together with your prayers and your help, we will succeed in expanding the Gospel. Our prayer is that the joy of the Lord floods our lives every day to do His will. May God bless this New 2025.
