NORTH CHICAGO OUTREACH UPDATE by Gerardo & Delin Hernandez
“No one who puts his hand to the plough and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62
The weather is improving for the next few days. We will be focusing on prayer walking in homes. During these cold days, we have been sharing at the laundromats, and on the streets with the homeless, praying for people with different needs in the community and visiting the homes of families we already know. In North Chicago and Waukegan, we will be working with the Hispanic community. It is a joy to be able to share the gospel with families who don’t know God, pray for their needs, and build relationships with the goal of holding home Bible studies in the future.
With home Bible studies, God remains faithful, as he has continued to teach the Lutheran doctrine of faith based on the Word of God on a weekly basis. The circumstances that each home goes through all work together for the good, and God always remains faithful. We will also implement more Bible studies with new families. Thank you for your prayers. On May 17th at 9am we will be cleaning the Prince of Peace Garden at 2720 N McAree Rd in Waukegan, IL 60087 in conjunction with Faith Lutheran Church. If you would like to participate, please contact Gerardo at 224-378-4998. Reserve this day. Together we can get it done quickly, as we will be there for two hours. If you know someone you can invite them. Hispanic families from north Chicago and Waukegan will also be helping.
