Worship and Music Ministry Update

WORSHIP AND MUSIC MINISTRY UPDATE by Sean Newman

Dear Faith Lutheran Church Congregation,

Greetings!

I want to thank the following individuals who participated in our music ministry this past season:

Kristin Arends, Carol Behm, Jan Bersano, Deb Carr, Diane Drabicki, Cam Garchow, Steve Garchow, Lisa Hove, Sheri Jordan, Judy Kraemer, Dan Krudop, Marilyn Palmer, Mary Petit, Chuck Rapp, Barb Rogers, Denis Rogers, Laura Seyfert, Jerry Sigman, Teresa Sigman, and Shannon Smith.

The next music ministry season will begin after Labor Day in September 2026. If you are interested in participating in Adult Choir, Handbell Choir, or our smaller handbell ensemble, please contact me.

We hope you will attend the worship services and concert featuring the Mykhailenko Brothers on Sunday, June 14. Please invite friends and family to attend! There is a sign-up sheet available if you would like to provide refreshments between the 10:30 a.m. worship service and the 2:00 p.m. concert. Please see the flyer for additional information.

Thank you to all who serve as worship servants here at Faith. As I write this, we still have a few openings. If you are interested, or know someone who may be interested, please contact me as soon as possible:

  • Faith A/V (livestream and PowerPoint): Third Saturday of each month for the 5:00 p.m. blended service
  • Faith A/V (livestream and PowerPoint): First Sunday of each month for the 10:30 a.m. service
  • Faith A/V: Due to our recent A/V upgrades, we are seeking a second volunteer to assist during worship services (one person operating PowerPoint and one person managing livestream, cameras, and microphones)
  • Faith Communion Assistants: General openings
  • Faith Acolytes: General openings

If you are interested in serving in any of these roles, please let me know.

Also, be on the lookout for a Music Ministry/Worship Servant Fellowship Lunch, as well as an upcoming A/V Worship Servant Training event at Faith.

We are truly blessed by the wonderful A/V upgrades recently completed at Faith. These improvements include:

  • Four new cameras
  • Two new boundary microphones
  • Three new digital clocks
  • Two larger replacement confidence monitors
  • Two new monitors facing the choir loft
  • Two new hanging microphones in the choir loft
  • New wireless handheld microphones
  • A new mixer
  • Additional handheld microphone stands

I would like to thank the team at Modern Media Tech, LLC for their outstanding work in installing this equipment. As with any new technology, we will continue to work with them to address any technical issues that may arise.

God’s musical blessings,

Sean J. M. Newman
Director of Worship and Music Ministry
