During the first week of August, we had 40 kids join in being part of our Vacation Bible School. Every evening we gathered for songs, crafts, games, and to learn about the love of God. It was a blessing to be able to serve our congregation and community in this way. Here are some of our highlights from that week:
- Learning about God with the help of some animal Bible buddies.
- Day 1: God loves you no matter what.
- Day 2: God is with you everywhere.
- Day 3: God is in charge.
- Day 4: God is stronger than anything.
- Day 5: God is surprising.
- Learning about who God is through the story of Joseph.
- Midweek fellowship dinner where kids and their families were invited to join us.
- Wonderful volunteers from our congregation who made the week possible.
- Serious amounts of fun had by everyone involved!
Our week of VBS was a wonderful opportunity to share the love of God and bring excitement to our members and community. We look forward to building on this as we kick off our fall programs with a Kids’ Carnival on Sunday, September 11. I am excited about what God is going to be doing through our youth and children’s ministries at Faith this year!
