APRIL NORTH CHICAGO OUTREACH UPDATE by Gerardo & Delin Hernandez
HOME BIBLE STUDY IN WAUKEGAN & NORTH CHICAGO
In homes in North Chicago and Waukegan, we continue to hold Bible studies throughout the week, sharing God’s Word, strengthening families’ faith, and praying for the needs they face in these times, where God works with His Holy Spirit.
THE PRINCE OF PEACE GARDEN IN WAUKEGAN
The Garden located in Waukegan is known as Prince of Peace. This year we will be cleaning this place on May 17th with the help of young people and adults from our Faith Church Lake Forest, together with the community of North Chicago and Waukegan. We invite you to support us in cleaning the place. At the same time, we invite you to offer us a plot where you can plant vegetables such as jalapeños, tomatoes, squash, corn, etc. with a minimal amount. At the same time, we can share, interact with the community, and learn about their needs. The cleanup date will be announced during the month of April and at the beginning of May. Please stay tuned. Thank you for being part of it and supporting us. Best wishes.
NEW HOME BIBLE STUDY IN ANTIOCH
We want to share with you the family of Bernardo, his wife Flor, and their two sons, Alvaro and Carlos, who live in Antioquia. We have shared the Gospel with this couple, and they have opened their homes to study the Word of God on Saturday afternoons. We ask for your prayers so that God may guide us and that we may share the Word with families in their homes.
PRAYER WALK WAUKEGAN & NORTH CHICAGO
With the arrival of good weather, we will be sharing the Word of God through a prayer walk. We go into homes and knock on doors to introduce ourselves and say, “I’d like to pray for you or your family.” Most families ask us to pray for their needs. This is how we share the Good News of the Gospel. We invite you to be part of this prayer walk. If you have any questions or for more information, please contact the Hispanic ministry at our Faith Church Lake Forest.
Help the community with a food pantry
Families in the community need food. If you would like to help, please don’t hesitate to take a menu item placed on the Hispanic Ministry table at our church. You are a great blessing to others.
