Asher, along with four other LCC comfort dogs, attended a summer day camp at the Christian Academy of Grayslake on June 29. We met at an elementary school in Grayslake. We were very happy to see approximately 40 campers waiting for us. It was a great visit with the campers and their counselors.
The campers were divided up into small groups of 2 to 3 people. The small groups rotated around the room, visiting with each dog. They had a lot of questions for the handlers. Many had dogs in their homes, and they happily told us about them.
We wiped down the dogs three or four times throughout the visit to maintain our high sanitary standards, and social distancing was very much the rule of the day.
