Asher’s Actions: March

As I’m writing this article, the sun has been shining and I have been looking forward to walking outside. The temperature is good enough so my feet don’t feel frozen like they were and few weeks ago.

To no surprise, I have not had many visits this month, just two. But the prospects for next week look very good for some special activity. Earlier this month, I joined the Faith Youth Director for a session of Sunday School. This was a virtual class for the kids, but I was there with Nic Cass for this session. I expect to join him for a few more during the spring. I hope my presence encourages kids to attend.

Then as the weather improved a lot, I joined two of my handlers to visit friends again in Libertyville. The senior couple, who we have visited many times, enjoy my visits. The husband has some health issues, and he is very happy to visit with me. We go for walks.

I expect to be visiting a high school and another location during the next several weeks. These are locations that our Pastor Buckman is visiting with the Illinois National Guard as part of the COVID vaccination program. I will have a chance visit with the military and the public. I can hope to bring them some smiles.
